Erratic Yaris speedo

The speedo has started to be erratic going from 0 to 30mph approx. The ABS light goes out when starting the engine and the car runs well enough except for the speedo fault. No work has been carried out on the car for over 9 months. Do you have any ideas where to look for the fault please?

Probably a failed speed sensor oil seal in the final drive.
