Consequences of fitting smaller wheels to 180hp Focus

I am planning to change my Mondeo Diesel for the Focus 1.6 petrol 180 bhp. It seems to come with large wheels. I'm no more of a fan than you of large wheels and low profile tyres. Can this car be ordered with smaller wheels? If not and they were later fitted, would there be insurance implications?

Unfortunately with 180PS fed through the front wheels it's going to need 18 inchers. You could probably go down to 17s or even 16s with the 150PS Ecoboost.
