Importing a friends car from Dublin?
I would love to have a 5 Series being offered to me for free by a friend, but I am not sure it is worth going over to Ireland, filling in all the import forms, taxing it I don't know what the emissions are and I live in Congestion Zone. Could it be worth it? It is apparently very nice car.

Probably worth it. Should be no tax to pay apart from the standard £55 registration charge. But yes, you will have to pay Congestion Charges at the Resident's Rate.
