Insurance, location, and lending a car
I am the main full-no-claims-driver of a car normally kept off-road in a private drive in a low-risk area.
My 40-year-old daughter is an additional driver on the insurance policy and has had a licence for 20 years but no car ownership or insurance history. She would like to borrow the car and keep it on the street in a medium-risk area for an unspecified period.
Is there a point in time when the insurers would consider that she had become the main driver by default and is there a point when they would claim an additional premium for the change of "where the car is normally kept" criteria?

Yes. The basis is "where the car is normally kept". If it's normally kept in your drive, fine. If it's normally kept on the street by her place, then that needs to be disclosed. So if she takes it away for an unspecified time, the car will normally be kept at her place, not yours.
