Does my Chrysler Voyager have a cam belt or a cam chain?
Can you please tell me whether my 2001 (51-reg) Chrysler Voyager 2.5 CRD has a timing belt or chain?
I was told it has chain - I also found the same info on this model on several internet sites. However my friend's 2.5 CRD Voyager has just stopped working and the mechanic told it's snapped cambelt... so now I'm puzzled and worried.
My friend has 2002 model, maybe it's different?

Belt. It's the same Italian VM engine as the Rover 800 2.5 diesel and old Jeep Cherokee diesel.
