Concerns about a car

We bought a car on Auto Trader a week ago and paid in cash (£5550) but the car is registered under company name. We got 3 sets of keys, full up to 83k Audi dealer history. I was given the green slip of the v5, the original v5 was signed. After coming home I called the the guy (who posed as family man and as private seller) but his phone was dead. I contacted the police but I have been told there is no issue with the car. Later I found out that they have clocked the milage. It was on market with 96k but it is almost 136000. Now i am really worried that the car is stolen ?

I don't see why the car would be stolen, but you can pay some money for an HPI check. That will only tell you if the car on the plates is stolen, not if the car has been cloned.
