Is Legal Protection just another money spinner for insurance companies?
I consider myself a canny shopper. I shop around, having previously worked in retail for ten years, I avoid extended warranties like the plague. After your comments once, I decline to take up No Claims Bonus Protection, but I still pay annually £26.50 for Legal Protection. I have never, in 40 years of driving, needed to call upon it. Am I wasting my money each year?

If you are paying this to the same insurer as for your car insurance, yes. Best to take it out completely independently.
