Who makes my engine?

Does Citroen/Peugeot use a Ford engine? I heard that from a local garage, is it true?

The 1.6 and 2.0 litre diesel engines are Peugeot/Citroen design built by Ford at Dagenham for Fords, Peugeots, Citroens and Volvos.
