Turbo issue?
Yesterday my wife was driving down a dual carriageway in our 2005 Renault Megane 1.5 DCI.
When she changed to fifth there was a whistling noise and suddenly the engine lost power. We tried to move slowly to get to a lay by but the car filled with smoke.
We have been advised that the problem is the turbo. Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so is it an expensive fix?
