I got a speeding ticket on my driving test - and still passed!
I was caught on a speed camera during my driving test - but still passed it with flying colours!
There must be an error somewhere, especially as the test was an Advanced Motorists' re-assessment test after 36 years membership without an accident or insurance claim.
The examiner was a serving traffic police officer, who on hearing this news was astounded, stating that at I at all times drove with care and full attention to the conditions of the road and other road users and was not, in his opinion, travelling at 8mph over the 30mph limit that I was alleged to have been travelling.
My driving was in all aspects up to the high standard laid down by the IAM. The Surrey Police Camera Partnership refuse to send me copies of the camera photos, only to be provided to a magistrate should I choose to attend court.
The IAM suggest that I seek legal advise, but the fee will be £100 for a consultation, the same cost of the Speed Awareness Course. Which option do you advise, £60 and 3 points, plead my case in court or attend the course? I feel aggrieved that this money making machine must have made a mistake in my case?
Should I just bite the bullet and say 'that's life' and pay up?

Swallow your pride and do the speed awareness course. Much worse things than that happen. Yours is a very minor injustice in my book.
