I want smaller wheels on my Volvo

I have just ordered a Volvo V60 SE Lux which comes on 17”wheels with 215/50 R 17 tyres.

Bearing in mind your mantra about the disadvantages of large wheels with low profile tyres I requested 16” wheels with 215/55 R16 tyres (which are standard on the V60 ES).

I was told they could not supply 16” wheels on the SE Lux.
Have I been fobbed off?

They can. They just don't want to. You should have used that to refuse to make the order. Now you have ordered the car it would be a breach of contract to cancel.
