Tuning my Audi A4

I have a 2004 Audi 130bhp TDi Avant with 140k miles on the clock which I have owned since 50k.

I recently purchased a 'TDI Tuning Box' primarily for the increase in MPG, which I have noticed a difference in, but I was wondering what the side affects are of using such a device?

The amber engine light has just come on, but there is no change in the cars performance or anything else that may lead me to think there is a problem.

I do not drive the car hard and plan to keep her for another 100k. Is it worth the risk of continuing to use the 'box of tricks'?

I have until tomorrow to get my 14 day no quibble refund.

First of all, if you have not disclosed this to your insurer you are not insured. Second, when you do disclose it, they will whack up the premium to far more than any saving in fuel. Thirdly. it very probably has led to the engine problem light.
