Lock, stock and..

I have a 2001 Jaguar S-Type and have recently lost the key with the integral remote central locking code. I have another individual key and separate remote control fob. The local main agent wants about £250 for a coded replacement and the Timpson’s key replacement unit in the local shopping mall will charge £150. Are these my only options for a replacement key?
