Just a brief line to thank you for the advice you gave me to have my steering checked by going to www.alignmycar.co.uk. I took my car to QR Sport in Cheshire who sorted out the problem in less than an hour including a computer printout showing as you suggested there was too much "toe in".
The Honda agent had failed to sort out this problem after several visits and I was seriously considering changing my car. Many thanks for your rapid response and sound advice.

Excellent. Many thanks for letting me know. Too much “toe in” will make a car’s steering feel vey light and very vague.
