Can you recommend an automatic petrol 5-door car for my wife?

My wife needs to change her car for an automatic. She has arthritis in her left knee and is finding it difficult to drive in stop-start traffic. The sort of spec would be: Polo or Fiesta-sized, 5-door, 1.4 to 1.6-litre engine, petrol and priced at up to £15,000. Ideally a good low mileage used car would suit but there do not seem to be a lot of automatics around. Do you have any recommendations?

Mazda 2 1.5 Activematic. Test here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/mazda/mazda-2-auto/

I can also recommended the more spacious, more comfortable and more practical Honda Jazz 1.4 CVT-7, but it isn’t as much fun to drive.

Neatly styled. Increased room and better performance than original Jazz. better to drive. Very versatile. CVT-7 returned in February 2011 replacing i-SHIFT. More reliable than first generation Jazz.
Enjoyable and fun to drive with economical engines. Feels well built. Ride quality was improved for 2011.
