Did you know that the 2010 Ford Transit 2.2-litre diesel has software that raises the rpm by 300 when you lift the clutch at idle?
Further to your reply to JH Saturday April 2nd re Jaguar 2.2 diesel DMF problem, my 2010 Transit 2.2 diesel has similar engine fitted and when you lift the clutch at idle, the engine software senses the load and immediately raises the RPM by 300. At first I thought this was a helpful driver aid (which it is), perfect in queuing traffic or for parking, but now I see it may also be very helpful in preventing damage to dual mass flywheels.
