Picant choose

My elderly cousin wants to replace her battered 9-year-old Nissan Micra with an economical automatic for pottering about the town only. 2 doors ok, very much wants rear parking sensors but I guess they can be retrofitted, max budget £7,000. Trade in value of current car from Nissan £100. I suggested she looks at Kia who suggest 1.1 Picanto 2 Auto and would offer £1,500 trade in deal for her car, but net price still £7,600 plus parking sensors so above her strict budget. No hurry so she could wait to see if used one comes in but am told they are scarce. Any suggestions for other makes/models gratefully appreciated.

The Picanto automatic is all there is for that sort of money. New Picanto from Summer, but that will be dearer.
