I do not recall you ever making mention of a website called www.uknewcars.com. However, in August last year I placed an order through them for a new Volkswagen Golf (2.0 GTi diesel), on which I wanted various factory fitted options – sunroof, leather seats, winter driving pack, etc. Being a cautious person I was concerned about the potential pitfalls of buying a new car through the internet, but I spoke to them on the phone and also spoke to their dealer who was to procure the car, and proceeded with the purchase.

The car was delivered to my house in West Sussex (free of charge) In November and is all that I had hoped it would be. It had been well prepared before delivery and everything has gone exceptionally smoothly. I paid just over £3,100 less than if I had gone to my local Volkswagen dealership. They laughed at me when I showed them the original quote for the car and said that there was no way that they could match it. Perhaps I was just lucky, but I would certainly look at the website again next time I was in the market for a new car.
