Reduced Focus fuel economy

I run a 2009 Ford Focus 1.6TDCi Zetec which I have had since April 2011. I have consistently managed 54-55mpg. However since the car had a major service in November 2011 the average fuel economy has dropped to 50-51mpg. My driving style has remained unchanged as has the type of road journeys undertaken.

Is there anything undertaken as part of a service which may have affected the car's fuel economy, or could something else be affecting fuel economy such as the cooler winter weather?
