Small cars with easy entry?
I have a Peugeot 207 SW 1.6 Sport Hdi 90, first registered on 1 March 2008. It has been well serviced, mileage is abut 22,500 and it is MOT''d until March next year. I have always been very happy with Peugeots, but as my wife has a bad back and I have bad knees, we are finding this one to be difficult to get in and out of - indeed, the roof is so low that I have difficulty in getting my head through the door. I also find that there are more blind spots than I'm happy with, and so we are considering a change.
What choices would you recommend? Probably 80% of our mileage is on local journeys, say up to 12 miles, and we do the occasional long holiday trip - 500 to 800 miles over a few days. Annual mileage is about 7-8000. We would prefer an Estate Car, but would consider a saloon with a large boot, We would prefer a good mpg figure, a low tax band and something higher off the ground than the 207 to make entry and exit easier. Finance will, I fear, preclude a new car, so we will need to look at a low mileage second hand one at no more than £10,000, to include what we might expect to get for the Peugeot - I suspect about £4,000.
Any ideas?

The best small cars for vis are the KIA Venga and the Hyundai ix20. Probably suit you in many other ways as well. Test and video: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/kia/kia-venga-road.../
