Winter tyres sizes on a Mercedes-Benz CLK

My CLK 2005 currently has 225/45/17 on the front and a slightly wider tyre 245/40/17 on the back, I am being sold snow tyres which are all 225/45/17s (all four tyres), will they fit and work just as effectively?

Much better second attempt at CLK. Goes well, handles well and is comfortable. Attractive looks.
