I bought a Ford Galaxy a few months of a private seller who advertised it as 'excellent condition throught'. He also failed to flag up some problems and engine parts that had been removed or replaced.

These included a much smaller battery than required and an air conditioning pump which had been removed entirely.

There were also problems with the gearbox, and brake pads. He said they made a squeaking noise because they were brand new.

I feel a little foolish about this, obviously, but do I have any rights here?

Can I get him to pick up the bill for any of the repairs - especially the missing air conditioning pump?
