Buying a 4 wheel drive

We need a very reliable, spacious 4 wheel drive vehicle which can handle hilly, wintery conditions. What's out there for around £5000 - £7000?

Prices of all 4WDs have risen about 25% over the past 6 weeks. Subarus are the standard. You might find a Skoda Octavia 4WD, but it will be dear.
