Scam insurance claim

A friend and her husband have just been followed home and told they had driven into the back of this persons car whilst in town and that they had 100s of witnesses.

They are claiming whiplash but there is no damage to their car. My friend had been in town but certainly not involved in an accident so obviously denied any involvement.

They have since been interviewed by the police and a claim raised against them which they are denying. Their insurance company doesn't seem to comprehend that this is a scam and they now have to go to court.

Any suggestions as to how they can handle this? Unfortunately my friend is ill and undergoing chemotherapy and this sort of stress is the last thing he wants.

Go to court and deny everything honestly on the facts. Then press for criminal action for perjury be taken against their accusers.
