Why does our new car not come with an emergency tyre repair kit?

My wife has just purchased a new 2025 Suzuki Swift. The dealer is stating that Suzuki does not provide Emergency Tyre Repair Kits (which I accept are not entirely reliable) and have given her a £25 kit purchased from Halfords. Is this acceptable, bearing in mind she has paid £21k for her car?

The official UK Suzuki Swift brochure, which can be viewed on the Suzuki UK website, does not list an emergency tyre repair kit as part of the standard equipment, which would suggest that the dealer's comments are correct. If this is the case, it could be argued that the dealer providing an emergency tyre kit means there is no need to purchase one at your own expense, but if this is not satisfactory we would suggest contacting the dealer or Suzuki UK.
