Best new small car
I need to replace my car. At the moment I drive an MG ZS but it's getting on a bit now, and is bigger than I need, so I want to get another one. I don't know much about cars so I would really appreciate some advice. Here are my criteria;
- I want to buy a car around 1 or 2 years old - I don't want a brand new one badly enough to pay the extra premium it costs to have a new car.
- My daughter is going to turn 17 this summer. She'll be learning to drive on the new car so it really needs to be cheap to insure - this is important
- I would like it to be reliable and easy to maintain, with good fuel economy in town driving.
- I'm in London so I'd like it fairly small and easy to park, but still 4 doors
- I want something with a bit of character, not a standard Golf-type car.
- my daughter and I are both short so we don't need lots of leg room or head room
