Best tyre and wheel combinations
The standard tyres on the rear of my 3 Series Coupe will be 255/35 R18 whereas on my current car I have 255/30 R19s.
Will the overall diameter of the wheel and tyre be identical, or will the R18s be smaller? Reason for asking is that I am hoping I will be able to squeeze some Autosocks on my new car, whereas I concluded it was impossible on the old one as I could not get my hands into the wheel arches.

Probably about the same. Slightly better ride quality from the 35s.
