Recently retired
I'm recently retired after 25 years company car use now need to purchase a car (not new).
Budget £10k. Five-year-old max, reasonable running costs, average or less than average mileage expected, economy/reliability main factors. Any suggestions?

Petrol, not diesel. Chain cam, not belt. That tightens things up a bit. Maybe a Nissan Note, Honda Jazz. No point in buying something bigger than you really need. And best to buy as new as possible, not as low mileage as possible.
