I need a seven-seater
I'm in the market for a new car to replace my 52-reg Ford Galaxy Ghia 1.9 TDI. I'm looking for something similar and I can't decide whether to go with diesel or petrol.
I've noticed the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso on an 07. A petrol version 1.8 VTR+ and don't know whether I'd be better sticking looking for a diesel replacement for my car or should I consider petrol cars?
Any advice on whether petrol or diesel would be better in these kind of cars e.g. Ford Galaxy 00 - 06, Seat Alhambra, Volkswagen Sharan - all similar years to the Galaxy - or the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso.

Any modern diesel can suffer from the D's: Dual Mass Flywheel failure, Diesel Particulate Filter Failure., the combined cost of which can be £2,500. Takes a lot of diesel economy advantage over petrol to make up for that. You can't avoid a DMF but you can avoid a DPF because they were not compulsory until 2011.
