Lifetime Warranty
I bought a BMW 320 last year from Alexanders Prestige and was offered a warranty on the vehicle that was renewable for as long as I owned the vehicle.
The warranty was with Motorcare but was sold to me by Alexanders. Motorcare have now gone bust and Autoguard have offered to renew the policy for 1 year for free.
Alexanders have offered to contribute £200 towards a three year warranty and I will have to contribute £175 towards it.
My argument is that my contract is with Alexanders not Motorcare and that Alexanders should fulfill their obilgations and ensure that my warranty is for as long as I own the vehicle.
Please can you advise on the legal position regarding who I am in contract with and whether or not Alexanders are obligated to offer a warranty for as long as I own the vehicle?

Alexanders as the agent for Motorcare cannot supply something that no longer exists.
