Buying a premium used four seater
I'm running a Volvo XC60 SE Lux D5, which I very much rate.
My work arrangements are changing to involve 50% overseas travel so I really no longer need to have such a workhorse as I'm unlikely to do more than 6,000-8,000 UK miles annually. I'm also looking to reduce the finance payments to around £300 per month.
I'm looking for something that is fun to drive and a bit unusual with a premium image/interior for around £20k.
It needs to accommodate my four-year-olds child seat and have reasonable luggage space for family holidays - an estate is probably unnecessary but a tiny hatch no good.
I'm drawn to the 3 series convertible but I understand there is a new model coming out. I think the Golf is a bit too ubiquitous and the 500 Abarth too small, DS3 also too small, not premium enough.
I'm out of love with Alfa Romeos for now and want something that is solid and reliable.
Happy to consider used/new up to around 50k miles with around 28mpg or better.

The problem with any coupe or 3 door car is that you will give yourself disc involvement lifting the child in and out of the child seat. I speak from experience. You actually need 5 doors. Maybe a Leon Cupra.
