Two houses, one insurance policy - which address should I use?

I co-own a house and have recently bought another in a different part of the country. During a year I guess I will be spending more time at the new house although that might not necessarily be the case. All my car details such as my driving licence, car insurance and V5C are registered at the address I co-own. Does it matter which address is on the documents?

Generally speaking it is the residence at which the vehicle spends most of its time which should be listed to, although it is also beneficial if this is also the address that appears on the V5/C registration document. We would suggest contacting your current insurer for specific advice.
