Ford Focus Keyfob is not working
Having replaced the battery in my Ford Focus Zetec car fob, the remote still will not open the car and the alarm sounds as if the key is not put in the ignition in time.
The spare key is not a remote and again, opening the car, results in having to start the car to avoid the alarm going off.
As previously reported by other readers, Ford have quoted £160 for a new fob followed by reprogramming of the key. Is there any way around incurring this cost (a non technical answer would help!)

You probably lost the code either because the original battery failed or you did not replace the battery fast enough (you have to do it within 10 seconds). Try:
