Gearbox problems on a Citroen C5

I have just paid a deposit on an unseen 2001 C5 2.2 HDI exclusive. I have been told by the dealer that the gearbox mounting is very worn and causes the vehicle to clunk when pulling away and during gear changes. Is this a common fault with this model? Should i walk away from the vehicle?

Before you do that get a quote from a Citroen dealer for replacing all the engine and transmission mountings. Then subtract that from the price you offer.
