Acceptable mileage for new car?

What is an acceptable mileage on the clock for a new car? At what point should one consider rejecting it on the basis that the mileage is too high?

(Clearly I'm excluding situations where one is fully aware that the car has been used as a demonstrator, and where the price has been reduced to account for this.)

Delivery mileage? 200 miles. But most new cars have the facility for delivery miles to be wound back off the mileage recording anyway (though they remain recorded by the ECU).
