Unplated price
I have just spent hours on the net and phone trying to get the best quote for my 17-year-old son who is on his provisional licence. He has a 2000 Corsa, value £1,000. We have two cars insured with Direct Line so with a multicar discount the best price they gave was £1,800. I tried other companies, getting quotes ranging from £1,900 to £4,000, TPFT. One of his friends is insured with Quinn Direct, an Irish company. They have quoted £781, which is so low I can’t quite believe it. I have checked they have all the right information. Have you heard of them and is there anything I should be asking to see why it is so low? Thanks for any advice you can give.

Quinn Direct offers low quotes for learners because actually the risk is relatively low while they are being supervised. But the premium rises enormously (together with the risk) once they pass their tests.
