What does Cat D repair mean?
What is a Cat D repair?

A Cat D marker is placed on a car that has been written off by the insurer because it has been deemed uneconomical to fix (because the cost of the repair is too high). If you are thinking of buying a Cat D car then I would suggest that you check you can get insurance for it first - many policy providers will refuse to cover a car that has a Cat D marker on it.
