Automatic towster

I have owned a Honda CRV diesel since Mar 2007, the latest model. I think that it is the best car that I've owned over the last 50 years. I have decided to change it soon and would like an automatic. I tow a caravan about 3 times a year and would want to tow with my new car, which would have to be able to tow a weight of around 1,400kg. I have seen good reports about the Volvo XC60 Geartronic but I'm not sure that the reliability would be as good as the Honda CRV. I believe that Honda will be bringing out an automatic version of the CRV 'soon'. I would be grateful for your advice.

The XC60 Geartronic is lovely. Doesn't seem to matter whether you go for the 163 or the 185. Test and video test at www.honestjohn.co.uk. Yes the facelifted CRV is already coming off the lines at Swindon with the new 2.2 iDTEC diesel and 5-speed auto. There are also both petrol and diesel RAV-4 autos on offer.
