Disc crusting

My BMW 335i still goes like stink. It’s great fun. But despite weekly car and wheel washing the front wheels are pockmarked from brake pad and disc dust. Dealership valeters couldn't shift them. The car is 18 months old and 17k miles. No problems with either of my two previous coupe’s wheels. BMW says there is no manufacturing fault. I repeat then why the problem? Have you had any feedback from other owners?

No. But wheels do desperately need regular cleaning to prevent the metallic content of brake pads creating miniature corrosion batteries all over the alloy wheels. You could get them refurbed, then keep them clean and protected with a Meguiars or Autoglym product. I use Meguiars Hot Wheels.
