Moaner pleaser
I would appreciate your advice on the dispute my father has been having over several years with Mercedes Benz Blackpool. There have been many letters sent and several confrontations at the dealership, with him receiving abysmal service on several issues. However to summarize the main issue for you my father bought the car, complained several times over the next few years that the steering did not seem right and was ignored / brushed aside repeatedly. Eventually the steering failed while on holiday in the French Alps, which cost him several thousand Euros to fix as well as even more wasted time. We would really appreciate some advice on where to go next as dealing direct with this Mercedes dealer has got him nowhere.

Mercedes-Benz of Blackpool (1 Ashworth Road Blackpool) is a subscriber to Motor Industry Codes, which sets a code of practice to which it must operate and gives you the opportunity to have your dispute independently resolved, by arbitration if necessary. Go to www.motorcodes.co.uk to begin the process of lodging your complaint. The intention is to persuade everyone in the motor trade to become members, otherwise they face heavy-handed government regulation that could put many out of business.
