I currently drive a 945 Volvo estate, which I love. It's getting old-would a new V70 Diesel, 2.0 litre model give sufficient power?

I've driven this engine in an S80 and it rows along with a 6-speed
transmission reasonably well. Volvo will also introduce the 1.6 diesel in the V70 and S80 late summer. Surprisingly, this actually has more torque, lower down than the 2.0 litre, and a 5-speed rather than 6-speed box that may suit the car even better. Shame to see your 945 ground into little pieces after a scrappage bonus.
