Ringer man galled

I've been duped in to buying a stolen car, which I have no doubt will be taken away by the police and returned to the owner and I'll be out of pocket by £11,500. The seller has now disappeared so I can't go back to him. Do I have any legal right to the car at all?

You have no legal right to the car. It belongs to whoever it was stolen from. It might be worth hiring a private detective to find the seller if the police won't.
