Radio wavering

I've had VWs and a SEAT in recent years and, enjoying the cricket commentary on the radio, have been frustrated that their radios do not receive LW. I presume that applies to all VAG cars. I have discovered that the BBC also broadcasts the Radio 4 programmes it sends out on 198 Long Wave on 720 Medium Wave too. I'm not quite sure why this is so, as I have never heard them mention it on air and the reception, around the Manchester area at least, is pretty lousy, but it is better than nothing. I recommend manually tuning as the auto tune doesn't pick it up. Perhaps you'd like to pass this on via your column.
