Cab runneth over
I am thinking of purchasing a second-hand double cab pickup truck (for personal use, not work), post-2003. So far I have looked at the Mitsubshi L200 and the Ford Ranger, both 2.5 TDi. Also looked at the Nissan Nivana (sic), though this option looks a bit expensive for my budget. I would appreciate your opinion on the L200 and Ranger as well as any other recommendations for me to look into.

The best engines in any pick-ups are the 2.5 and 3.0 i-TEQs fitted to Isuzus and Chevrolets for the last 2 - 3 years. With 4WD, 34 - 36mpg. With 2WD, 36 - 38mpg. And chain-cam, so no worries there. I've bought two in Thailand, an Isuzu D-Max 18 months ago and a Chevrolet Colorado in December last year.
