Peddle to the Met

Our Mercedes Vito minibus will probably not pass the MOT in a few months' time so we are looking for a good second-hand minibus to replace it. Another Mercedes Vito, a VW minibus or something similar would be ideal. It should have sliding doors on both sides and preferably a lift up back door. We need seating for about six and space for the food, drinks and clothing we give to the homeless and needy. Four years ago we bought our present Vito on e-bay for £5,500 and spent about £170 having it checked by the RAC and £1,000+ having it properly serviced. We have spent several thousands on it since. Recently someone 'hit and ran' damaging one rear corner and leaving it in a sorry state. We need to replace it.
We hold a "Souper Ball" each year to finance the soup run and so we can afford to spend about £8,000 for a replacement vehicle. We are based in London W1 (Marylebone). We are having difficulty finding a replacement. We tried Cargiant but they do not sell minibuses. Have you any suggestions?

Worth a visit or two to West Oxfordshire Motor Auctions on a Tuesday night where you might land an ex Met Police ‘Rapid Response’ Viano well within budget. Visit www.woma.co.uk for more information.
