I have been offered a Freelander turbo diesel 5 door sport spec – 2004 reg with 19,000 miles on the clock at a cost of £7,000. Are you aware of any inherent repetitive faults on this model, or could you recommend any components that would need checking out? The car is owned by a relative and has a genuine 19,000 miles. The car is in pristine condition.

Not too bad, the TD4 is the best of the old shape Freelanders, but the
Sport spec comes on silly 18” wheels with low profile tyres that are
prone to damage and defeat its purpose as a 4WD SUV. Full story here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/land-rover/freelande.../
