High ground clearance
I need a secondhand car or van for fishing. Access is by farm tracks which are rutted and sometimes quite muddy. I need at least 20cm ground clearance or better. Would a small 4x4 be best? Budget up to £3500.

Yes, something like a Suzuki Jimny. Horrible on the road, but very effective off it. You might get a Fiat Panda 4x4 for £3,500, but check it out very carefully for damage.
