Is it worth spending extra money for a mild hybrid vehicle?

I'm about to order a Ford Puma. I'll be doing 5000-6000 miles per year. Is it worth paying the extra £300 for a hybrid version?

It's only a mild hybrid so don't expect to travel under electric power alone - or, indeed, notice much of a difference over the standard petrol. That said, the mild-hybrid system is useful for providing a small boost in performance and reducing turbo lag. It's probably a worthwhile way of spending £300.
