Not remotely

On returning home yesterday evening, I locked my Skoda Superb using the remote key. All the windows were shut, and the system indicated that the alarm and immobiliser were activated. This morning I found the windows fully opened, the doors locked and the alarm system still operational. There were no signs of vandalism and no car contents were missing. No windows were opened on the last journey of the car, and all were completely shut when the car was parked. Can you explain? Have you ever heard of such an occurrence before, and if so, what was the cause?

Either you have jiggled the key, which has a function that does what you describe. Or moisture has got into the locking and windows ECU inside the driver's door. This is something that has been happening to VAG cars for at least the past 15 years.
