1: We have owned a 2007/57 Skoda Octavia from new, now with 44,000 miles. The windows sometimes have been known to open all together, once I found them on my drive open in the morning and it had rained in. This has happened several times over months but is worrying for theft etc. What can it be? / 2: My 2003 Audi A3 has a problem where the windows of the car will wind down during the night and then after a while go back up again on their own.

Can be accidentally pressing keyfob buttons or jangling them against
something else in your pocket. Otherwise it's caused by water ingress to the locking and window ECU inside the driver’s door. VAG cars have had this problem for 15 years.
